Our client is a charity based organisation who wanted a website where their staff had the ability to make updates to the contents of their website at any given time. Concept 247 decided to develop a website that had CMS (Control Management System) which would allow the client to make these changes.

Instead of recreating the wheel we decided to use a Free Open Source Content Management System called Joomla (www.joomla.org ) which is written in the following coding language PHP and stores data in MySQL database. As the CMS is free this would be perfect for a charity which helps them to save money in the long run.

Tolerance International had in-house designers but did not have the skill set when it came to developing the back end functionality of the website and this is where we stepped in. Concept 247 developed a website which is easily manageable through an Admin section to update text, images, videos, RSS feeds, links and also banners.

www.ticoff.org was designed and developed in 2008 and is still running nice and smoothly to this day.

PAL www.parentsaslearners.co.uk Software Application Development Project

Our client Alite www.alite.co.uk was introduced to Concept 247 nearly 2 years ago. Alite provides learning and motivation programmes for educators, developers and parents. Alite wanted a development company that had the ability to understand their needs and was also easy to communicate with.

PAL Direct was the first product we worked on for Alite where they required a development company to help with the core functionality of the product. The design was put together by their own designer who also managed the project from their side. The idea of the product is from the client and we needed to understand their requirements and help make it a reality.

PAL Direct is a Web Application for schools where parents log into the system from the internet at home with a username and password. The application teaches parents how to help their child/children with their studies. With a user friendly approach and a few clicks of a button parents are able to further educate themselves.

PAL Direct was developed using the following development languages PHP5 / Smarty Templates / CSS / Java Script / Ajax and the technology we used was MVC (Model-View-Controller) which is a Web Application Framework developed in-house.

Parent Portal www.parentportal.org.uk Software Application Development Project

Nearly 3 years ago we were introduced to St. Paul's Catholic College www.st-pauls.surrey.sch.uk who required a Bespoke Web Application for their parents to have the ability to view how their child was performing in school.

All schools use a MIS (Management Information System) which holds the data for all children on how they are performing in school. St. Paul's wanted their parents to have the ability to view this information but in a user friendly format and they also wanted the information the parents were seeing to be in 'real time'. Concept 247 and St. Paul's Catholic College decided to put their heads together and using St. Paul's educational knowledge and our development expertise we produced a Bespoke Web Application for their school https://secureportal.st-pauls.surrey.sch.uk/users/index.php after a year's hard work.

The Parent Portal is developed in the following languages PHP5 / Ajax / Smarty Templates / CSS and a few more languages we will not share… (We need to have some secrets!)

St. Paul's wanted a bespoke product where they could control the design side without affecting the back end coding which controls the functionality of the product. The reason for this request was because every school has their own identity and they were tired of being held to the restraints of other software companies.

The Parent Portal is going strong and Concept 247 has helped many more schools communicate better with their parents by producing them with their very own Bespoke Parent Portal.

Fones and Tones www.fonesandtones.co.uk e-Commerce Website Project

Our client was already established in their local area for repairing mobile phones and was constantly being asked to sale them as well. As we all know opening up a store front is very costly but having an Online Shop is not.

After an initial meeting with our client we understood they required a website where they could sale mobile phones and accessories but also wanted to offer their mobile repair services and recycling services online to a wider audience.

The website required an easy to use navigation for customers and also an administration side for the client to update their products. With a low budget in hand we opted for using an FREE Open Source shopping cart facility called OS Commerce which required development and configuration work to the back end for the payment side to function correctly. The client also wanted the ability for their customers to fill out a repair form and then this would be emailed to them directly with the customer requirements.

Adept Building Services Ltd www.adeptbs.co.uk Website Project

Adept Building Services has been established for a very long time within the construction industry producing excellent work.
Unfortunately like most businesses the only people that knew about their work was the clients they had worked for.
A website is the face of your company and needs to look clean and also represent what services you can offer which can open many doors.

The idea behind the Adept website was to produce something clean and crisp so they could clearly explain the services they offer and also showcase the projects they have carried out in the Gallery section.

Willow Restaurant www.willowrestaurant.co.uk CMS Website Project

Willow Restaurant is situated in Winchmore Hill N21 and is one of the new up and coming restaurants and bars within North London. The premises use to be a local pub and they have managed to turn it into a Restaurant, Bar and Functions facility for the community. Offering fine Modern British Cuisine, Cocktails, Jazz Music and holding many functions, this is surely the place to be.

Willow Restaurant wanted a website consistent with the branding they had chosen for the restaurant. They wanted a website that had CMS (Content Management System) so they could update the text, menus and also gallery.

As the client was very precise in what they wanted to achieve the website itself is fully bespoke so therefore everything was developed by scratch. There is an easy to use Admin section for the client where they can make their updates.
